GDES once again attends the WNE. The largest nuclear fair in Europe

The fourth edition of World Nuclear Exhibition, the world’s leading event for the nuclear energy sector, was attended by more than 600 exhibitors representing the most important companies in the global nuclear industry value chain. This year, the WNE focused its programme on the role to be played by the nuclear industry in a decarbonised society, recognising its contribution to the energy transition and action to combat climate change. Climate action is SDG 13 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

GDES and ITER make sure that Safety Comes First

ITER, the world’s largest fusion project, held a Safety Day on 16 September as part of a drive to actively engage all workers and collaborators at its facilities. Safety is a central priority at ITER, and so its QHSE division organised a full programme of hands-on workshops, discussions and demonstrations to provide information on key procedures at the site and to raise awareness among participants. The event focused on three risks that are always a part of our operations: falling from height, falling objects, and system and process risks.
