These awards aim to recognise the most outstanding careers of women engineers and nuclear scientists in Europe, to spotlight women working in the nuclear industry and to encourage young and future students to pursue studies within the industry.

The Fem’Energia awards recognise both the outstanding contribution and talent of European professional women in the nuclear sector and the most outstanding students who wish to pursue their careers within this industry.

Adoración Arnaldos, Deputy Director of Innovation and Technology at GD Energy Services, has received the highest award in the “women working in the European nuclear industry” category. “A real honour”, in her own words, “made possible thanks to the brilliant technical team at the GDES Innovation Centre in Valencia which has accompanied me over all these years in the profession”.

The nomination of Adoración Arnaldos was promoted by WiN Spain against the other European nominees. WiN Spain selected Adoración Arnaldos as the representative of our country for her work and initiatives in the area of R&D&I in the nuclear industry, her professional history and her close cooperation with the education sector.

“As an engineer in the nuclear sector, I greatly appreciate that institutions such as Women in Nuclear and large companies such as EDF focus their efforts on spotlighting women scientists and engineers like me and publicly acknowledge, and I say this in all humility, effort, study, work and dedication to this profession”, highlighted Adoración Arnaldos.
