43 SNE Annual Meeting.

GDES takes part in the 43 Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society.

With the slogan ‘we contribute to sustainability’, the 43 Annual Meeting of the SNE (Spanish Nuclear Society) was held at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga. A meeting point between professionals and companies of the nuclear sector in which not only they have tried current issues of the sector, but also with exhibitions, papers and high technical profile projects have been presented. More than 600 professionals of the sector was been gathered and up to 330 technical papers have been held, grouped by: engineering, R&D, nuclear safety, M&O, medicine and communication, among others.

GDES successfully completes its first major intervention in the Extradós Project.

Extradós is GDES’s largest execution contract in the French nuclear market

EDF, which owns all nuclear power generation plants in France, began the Extradós project in order to provide a solution to airtightness problems detected in several nuclear power plants in the country.

GDES commences own manufacture of Removable Thermal Insulation at CNC (Spain)

The Cofrentes Nuclear Power (Spain) Plant has been manufacturing tailored Removable Thermal Insulation since July. GDES offers this new service based on a system specifically designed to solve the problems of thermal insulation in rotary equipment, exchanger heads, valves, flanges, etc. The main advantages of the removable thermal insulation made by GDES are:

GDES France enters into the French nuclear decommissioning market

GDES becomes the first Spanish company to obtain CAEAR certification to work for the French CEA

The award of this authorization is an enormous boost for GDES in the generation of new business in the main European nuclear market.

Open the registration process for the Courses of Supervisor and Operator of radioactive facilities

Courses approved by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council.

GDES will soon provide official training in Radiological Protection with application in Laboratories with Non-Encapsulated Sources. These courses are approved by the Nuclear Safety Council and allow to acquire the necessary knowledge to obtain the training as Supervisor or Operator of this type of installations.
