The Dominguis Group dedicates substantial effort and resources to the investigation, development and innovation because it considers them to be the future of any business and a guarantee of the quality of the services it offers.
The director of Technological Development of Lainsa, Jusús Lacalle explains that “we could think that there is nothing else to invent and that we just need to improve processes, but in fact there are always new developments that enable interesting business opportunities. Therefore, we seek to diversify services and activities, supporting ourselves with our own experience and investing in R&D”.
The main objective of the innovations generated by this holding company is to guarantee their clients an optimum efficiency of its facilities and, as a result, provide unique services that maximise the return on their investments.
Among the more novel and notable projects, the unique Contenoil and Caloroil systems can be found. These are aimed at improving the performance of the thermosolar plants.
The Atomic Snail system works in a similar way with the nuclear industry. Contenoil is the only system on the market capable of carrying out loop drainage with zero risk. It offers an innovative solution that allows the extraction, transportation, storage and injection of HFT in any area of the thermosolar plant, without needing to halt production, without risk and which guarantees satisfying results for the maintenance of up to two loops.
There is also Caloroil, the system that enables the treatment and filtration of HTF from the thermosolar plant to ensure its high quality, without the need to stop production. This translates into increased energy production as well as a significant reduction in corrective maintenance works on the critical components of the plant.
The third innovative project is Atomic Snail, equipment for the decontamination of the nuclear reactor vessel flanges, developed to work under water. In this manner, carrying out remote-control cleaning from the refuelling platform means a significant reduction in the operationa dose associated with this activity.
