GDES takes part in the Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society

The 42 Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society, was held at Santander from 28 to 30 September 2016. A meeting between professionals and companies in the nuclear sector in which not only have tried topical issues for sector. Also have presented exhibitions and projects of high technical profile. The 42nd SNE Annual Meeting has gathered more than 700 professionals and 394 seminars have been celebrated.

Within the program of lectures and technical sessions our collegue Jesús Lacalle, Technological Development Director, has represented GD Energy Services in the exhibition: Robot design for reconditioning of the vessel flange prior to its closure after the period of recharge. Presentation on the results of TrackRing robot, developed by GDES Innovation for Trillo Nuclear Power Plant.

José Tomás Ruiz Martínez, Director of Operations, explained: Improved sealing in concrete enclosures under pressure. Proposal and results with the system developed by GDES as a solution in containment buildings of nuclear reactors.

Innomerics was also subject of study and analysis in the paper: Development of a ‘technical roadmap’ related to the structural integrity of components – Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant Project. Technical Session developed by Iberdrola Generación Nuclear.

As a novelty, Innomerics and GDES Lineman have been part of this year’s GD Energy Services booth.

A stand where not only represented the different services of the Group. We have also shown our international presence, plus the latest developments in R & D.

The 43rd Annual Meeting of the SRE will be from 4 to 6 October 2017 in the city of Malaga.
