GDES official sponsor of the 2019 WiN Global Conference
The capital of Spain has been chosen to host the 27th WiN Global Conference. The event, at which 200 attendees from 60 countries are expected, will take place from 17 to 21 June 2019 at the School of Industrial Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
The 27th WiN Global Conference, which has previously been held in Abu Dhabi, Beijing and Bariloche, will have a highly technical programme this year. The plenary sessions will address such important aspects as long-term operation, innovation, ionising radiation applications, women in the nuclear sector, education and training, with speakers from various countries and from all areas of nuclear science and technology. In addition, the Country Reports of the represented WiN groups will be presented, providing information on the situation of nuclear energy and the different areas of ionising radiation in various countries around the world.
Moreover, one of the fundamental objectives of the Conference is to raise awareness of the capabilities of the Spanish nuclear sector in a conference that will not only be international but also multicultural. GDES sets great store by the participation of professionals – women and men – from Spanish companies and agencies.
