Alisys and GDES enter into a UTE (temporary joint venture) to provide the Garoña nuclear power plant with a robot to characterise radioactive material.

  • A quadruped robot will be used to develop an autonomous solution for automatically characterising materials, walls and floors for the decommissioning and dismantling of the Santa María de Garoña Nuclear Power Plant.
  • This investment in technology will enable Enresa to optimise the identification of non-contaminated areas and improve efficiency and optimise the process of measuring and characterising radioactive waste destined for the El Cabril disposal facility, while at the same time reinforcing its commitment to ALARA and to the prevention of occupational risks during dismantling tasks.
