GDES Wind launches the project “INTELLIGENT MANAGER FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF WIND GENERATOR BLADES”.
This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.
Through this initiative, population models of wind farms will be developed based on research into their degradation according to the different factors that affect them (construction technology, materials used, geographical location of the wind farms, weather conditions, preventive maintenance carried out, etc.).
To this end, the development of a blade failure panel is being implemented, which will establish a correlation between the population and the history of failures, through the information recorded on GDES Wind’s corrective maintenance operations.
This innovative project involves the development of Artificial Intelligence algorithms in collaboration with the technology firm xabet, which, by means of predictive analysis technologies, will make it possible to determine the state of the wind turbine blades. In short, the implementation of proprietary technologies, through the design and development of an industrialised management platform that incorporates all the necessary diagnostic tools to improve efficiency throughout the process of inspecting wind turbine blades.
