GDES begins restoration work on the finishing coating of the intumescent system of the metal structure of the Ágora building (City of Arts and Sciences).

Last February, the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències – CAC, S.A.) awarded GDES a contract for restoration work on the finishing coating of the intumescent system of the metal structure of the multifunctional Ágora building in Valencia. The structure, designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava, features a large metal roof with an elliptical floor plan and a main structure comprising 98 porticoes on both façades. The works, with a completion period of ten months, will focus on the interior of the main structure and include the inspection and restoration of the intumescent coating system.
