The Cofrentes Nuclear Power (Spain) Plant has been manufacturing tailored Removable Thermal Insulation since July. GDES offers this new service based on a system specifically designed to solve the problems of thermal insulation in rotary equipment, exchanger heads, valves, flanges, etc. The main advantages of the removable thermal insulation made by GDES are:

• Ease of cleaning and durability
• Fast assembly and disassembly
• Minimal waste
• Compliance with Spanish COP standards (cleaning, order and preservation)

Due to its special configuration, the material adapts to the component to be insulated, is totally removable, lasts an unlimited time, and greatly reduces installation time; a key criteria in the case of rotating equipment whose maintenance affects the Critical Path Program of the Plant, as in the case of turbines, and in areas with high dose rates.
