Cleaning and decontamination work for the European Commission successfully completed

The cleaning and decontamination work carried out for the European Commission at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, concluded in August with the delivery of the final report. According to Lainsa’s Director for Europe and Asia, José Tomás Ruiz Martínez, “the objectives were all met, both in terms of quality and service efficiency, and the client is very satisfied, because for them this is a new way of conducting the work, with safety and efficiency”.

Consolidation in the Mexican nuclear industry and diversification of services in Laguna Verde

This year, Grupo Dominguis has consolidated its position at the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant (CLV) in Mexico, through its subsidiary, Hervi. As well as renewing the decontamination contract with CLV, Hervi continues to carry out a range of tasks, including providing maintenance of motorized valves, support services for turbines and changing activated carbon in the off-gas system. It has also started to offer its services to the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) and other companies.

On the 20^th September, Director of Management Systems of Grupo Dominguis, Julián Mendoza, and the Director of Titania, Adoración Arnaldos, atended the technical symposium on “Safe Actions and Nuclear Facilities. Engineering the Human Factor”, which was organized by the Spanish Nuclear Society with the collaboration of ANAV and Tecnatom. The meeting took place at the Centre for Technology and Innovation Transfer of the Fundació Universitat Rovira y Virgili in Tarragona, and the Grupo Dominguis managers who were there emphasized the importance that the holding company places on the safety culture.

A squad from Lainsa SCI has been awarded the Mapfre Global Risk prize for fire prevention

The professional firefighting service that Lainsa SCI has implemented in the industrial installations of Airbus in Getafe (Madrid) has won first prize in the XXII Fire Prevention Competition organised by Mapfre Global Risk. The Lainsa SCI squad was outstanding in the professional firefighters mode and in the fire extinguishing event in a structure on two levels (the upper with an LPG leak and the lower with a flammable liquid spill), with the use of water hoses.
