GDES Wind inaugurates new facilities in Albacete, expanding its capacity in the Spanish wind sector

GDES Wind consolidates its position in the Spanish wind blade repair market with the opening of a new facility in Albacete. This new warehouse, with a surface area of 1200 m² and equipped with two 10-tonne overhead cranes, also has 800m2 of workshop space and a connection to the A-31 motorway.

With this investment, the company strengthens its capacity to carry out ground repairs, retrofits, recycling and revaluation of wind turbine blades, optimising its services for central and southern Spain. This location offers a more efficient geographical solution for national customers, particularly in the central area of the country, responding to the growing demand for on-site work, such as the repair and maintenance of wind turbine blades. This new facility is in addition to GDES Wind’s already operational facility in As Pontes, strengthening the firm’s capacity to offer its specialised services in different regions of Spain.

The commissioning of the ship marks an important milestone for GDES, which seeks to further expand its geographical influence and consolidate its position as a benchmark in the field of renewable energy and wind infrastructure repair throughout the country.

About GDES Wind: GDES Wind is a company specialised in maintenance, repair and recycling services for wind blades, but also in their design, manufacture, inspection, audits, retrofits and other areas. With this new investment, it reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability, ensuring constant growth in the renewable energy sector.
