GDES Wind present at the AEE’s ‘Operational Analysis of Wind Farms’ seminar
The Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) has held a new edition of the forum for technical and technological knowledge of the wind energy sector in Spain, the conference ‘Operational Analysis of Wind Farms’. More than 200 experts met to analyse and discuss improvements in the operation and maintenance of Spanish wind farms. Among them, a delegation from the senior management of GDES.
Héctor Dominguis, President and CEO of GDES, Sandra Sáez, General Manager of GDES, and José Carlos Alonso Núñez, Director of GDES Wind, our service unit for the wind energy sector, attended this new edition held in Madrid.
This event is key for all professionals in the sector, and it has addressed key issues such as the operability of wind farms and offshore wind, the environment, life extension, repowering and improvement of components and new materials, with the participation of more than 25 expert speakers in the field.
Spain is one of the few countries within the major European economies that has achieved a renewable electricity generation of more than 50% of demand and in which wind power already accounts for 25% so far this year. With more than 31 GW installed, the wind sector is in good health. A competitive position that we must not lose, with more than 40,000 professionals working in the sector.
GDES and GDES Wind have been present and have collaborated in the sponsorship of this event, reaffirming our commitment to Net-Zero energies and showing our support and collaboration towards innovation and knowledge in the wind energy sector in Spain, one of the essential pillars in the transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
