OFF-GAS: Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation System for the integrity of the reactorís fuel and control rods, through the continuous measurement of Off-Gas system gases. This completely innovative system, already installed and functional at the Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant, was the first project to be delivered by GDES T4S.
Purpose: On-line evaluation of the integrity of the reactor fuel based on continuous measurement of the gases of the Off-Gas system.
This equipment allows:
- early detection of fuel failures;
- monitoring of activity during sequence changes;
- early detection of a second failure;
- parallel monitoring of the integrity of the control rods
