{"id":83037,"date":"2023-02-02T10:00:12","date_gmt":"2023-02-02T09:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gdes.com\/corporate\/?p=83037"},"modified":"2023-02-03T13:58:00","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T12:58:00","slug":"maintenance-complete-des-citernes-de-stockage-des-effluents-issus-des-npgv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gdes.com\/corporate\/en\/blog\/2023\/02\/02\/maintenance-complete-des-citernes-de-stockage-des-effluents-issus-des-npgv\/","title":{"rendered":"GDES renews one of its main contracts for EDF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h4>The renewal of this contract will enable GDES to further expand its presence in nuclear power plants in France.<\/h4>\n<p>Since 2018 GDES France has been tasked with the <strong>integral maintenance of the storage tanks for effluents generated by the chemical cleaning of steam generators<\/strong> at various EDF-owned nuclear power plants.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-83044\" src=\"https:\/\/gdes.com\/corporate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/02\/Imagenr-167x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"658\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gdes.com\/corporate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/02\/Imagenr-167x300.jpg 167w, https:\/\/gdes.com\/corporate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/02\/Imagenr.jpg 529w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 367px) 100vw, 367px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project consists of dismantling the different components of the tanks, cleaning them and their interior, checking and inspecting the coating, repairing and finally reassembling them, culminating in a hydrostatic test to check the leak-tightness of the system.<\/p>\n<p>The main phases are: disassembly of the accessories, inspection and repair of the interior and exterior lining of the carbon steel tanks to prevent corrosion and ensure that they are leak-tight, reassembly of the accessories and hydrostatic testing of the complete circuit.<\/p>\n<p>GDES has developed a proprietary methodology for inspection and numerical control of the coating, allowing the customer to validate the defects detected in real time.<\/p>\n<p>The added value provided by GDES is the capacity to carry out all the phases of the project and to have mixed French-Spanish teams with the necessary competences and skills.
