Following the strategy of commitment to innovation and services with high added value, GDES has reached an agreement with the company Innomerics and its partners, which involves, among other things, taking participation in Innomerics capital.<\/p>\n

Innomerics is a newly established company, specialized in developing innovative technological solutions for clients for whom material integrity is a critical factor. It has initially focused its activities in the field of electricity generation, with options to extend its activities to other sectors.<\/p>\n
In this line, Innomerics currently offers life management systems for power generation plants, analysis and consulting services in different areas of power generation and software development with various applications for power plants.<\/p>\n
The current range of products includes hardware and software solutions for assessment, mitigation and management related to the structural integrity of components. One of the most important products is fatONE<\/a>: A fatigue calculation and management software for power plant components. Existing nuclear plants approach their license renewals of operating licenses for periods or difficult conditions conditions which may differ from the initial hypotheses considered in their base design, and is vital to accurately assess the remaining life of certain critical components whose fatigue could limit the life of the plant or involve expensive and lengthy repairs. The fatONE<\/a> system can perform this evaluation online based on the plant\u2019s instrumentation or adding new instrumentation from Innomerics product range if necessary. This tool also incorporates capabilities for flow calculation; relevant in combined cycle plants. The Innomerics solutions portfolio also includes, amongst others, the isiONE software for inspection management and instrumentation solutions for measuring temperature and pressure.<\/p>\n The Innomerics team, led by David Galbally, Manuel Nunez and Francisco del Valle, is composed of 9 technicians with wide experience in the power industry and other sectors, in software and hardware solution development, and professional services. This team comes from prestigious academic institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, ICAI, ICADE, Carlos III University and maintains close ties with the academic and applied research environment.<\/p>\n This partnership aims to develop synergies in both directions. First contributing to GDES\u2019 expansion of its existing range of services providing high value added engineering solutions. And secondly by providing financial and commercial capacity to allow Innomerics\u2019 growth in products and customers.<\/p>\n
