Over the course of three days, the conference brought together 734 participants<\/strong>, who shared knowledge and experience through 44 technical sessions<\/strong>, 271 presentations<\/strong>, three round tables<\/strong>, two specialised workshops<\/strong>, a Young Generation Networking Session<\/strong>, and a commercial exhibition featuring 25 exhibiting companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n GDES played a prominent role in both the technical programme and the parallel activities of the event, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, safety and technological development within the nuclear sector.<\/p>\n Among the contributions presented were:<\/p>\n The company also contributed to the organisation of the technical programme through Cristina Gonz\u00e1lez Garrido<\/strong>, Director of Decommissioning Services in Spain, who chaired the session \u201cDecommissioning and Facility Closure II\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n Beyond the technical sessions, GDES reinforced its commitment to talent development and innovation by participating in the Young Generation Networking Session<\/strong>, an initiative aimed at bringing sector companies closer to students and young professionals.<\/p>\n GDES also took part in the Nuclear Technology: LTO Mission<\/strong> workshop, where it showcased some of its most advanced robotic solutions for the operation and maintenance of nuclear facilities. Attendees had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the capabilities of the Quadrad, Inspex and DEMOS<\/strong> robots, developed to improve safety, efficiency and digitalisation in plant activities, waste characterisation and inspections in confined spaces.<\/p>\n The GDES stand once again became a meeting point for professionals, customers and collaborators from across the sector. Throughout the three-day event, visitors were able to learn about some of the company\u2019s most significant projects, exchange experiences and take part in the \u201cBeat the Nuclear Challenge\u201d<\/strong> initiative, an outreach activity designed to test their knowledge of the nuclear sector.<\/p>\n The strong reception of this initiative was reflected in the high level of participation and culminated in the presentation of prizes to the challenge winners, in a ceremony attended by Paulo Santos<\/strong>, President of the Spanish Nuclear Society.<\/p>\n The meeting concluded with the official closing ceremony, during which both the technical and human dimensions of an event that continues to serve as a benchmark for nuclear industry professionals were highlighted. The ceremony emphasised the strategic importance of nuclear energy for the country\u2019s future energy mix and the need to continue fostering collaboration among companies, institutions and professionals.<\/p>\n At GDES, we are proud to have been part of an edition that once again provided an opportunity to share knowledge, promote innovation and strengthen relationships among the various stakeholders of the nuclear industry.<\/p>\n Looking ahead to the next edition, the Spanish Nuclear Society (SNE)<\/strong> announced that Tarragona<\/strong> will host the 53rd Annual Meeting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n See you in Tarragona!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
