This initiative was announced by the mayor of the municipality, Valent\u00edn Gonz\u00e1lez Formoso, during his visit to the GDES Wind repair and manufacturing centre in Galicia, Spain.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In addition to urban furniture, the project includes the recovery and reuse of materials for the creation of artificial reefs in offshore wind farms, as well as the incorporation of shredded waste from industry in construction materials such as concrete.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About GDES Wind<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GDES Wind (until 2015 S\u00e1lvoravento) was founded in 2004 as one of the first independent Spanish companies in the field of wind turbine blades and composite materials, focusing mainly on their maintenance, but also on their design, manufacture, inspection, audits, retrofits and other areas.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2012, S\u00e1lvoravento joined GDES, a firmly established Spanish industrial group with extensive experience in maintenance services for the energy industry and with a presence in 9 countries.
